Apple’s iOS 18 will introduce next-level AI features for iPhone users. Apple CEO Tim Cook promised that the company “will innovate with generative AI” this year, but this may be the first sign that the company intends to be slow when it brings this to its customers.
In his latest issue of Power On magazine, Bloomberg Apple expert Mark Gurman wrote that Cupertino plans to release AI features coming to iOS 18 as a “preview.” Gurman thinks that this may indicate that “the technology is not completely ready” and mentions a worrying history:
